Franklin Graham and the "Violent Religion."

On December 11, 2009, Reverend Franklin Graham was interviewed by CNN's Campbell Brown. During the interview Reverend Graham labeled Islam a "violent religion." The Council for American-Islamic Religions (aka CAIR) took exception to Graham's remarks, and is now engaging in defamation against Graham. The following is an excerpt of that interview, along with a confirmation that Islam, CAIR, the Muslim Brotherhood (and the rest of its front groups) are indeed violent. Kudos to Reverend Graham for his comments, and kudos to the FBI who is now investigating CAIR for its terroristic ties and activities.

I never thought that Franklin Graham would be one of the American people who spreads bigotry, Islamophobia, and intolerance. I am a devout Christian and I am flabbergasted about his comments about Islam, and his comments about Obama! :(

Surely someone from CAIR, the MSA, or Muslim Brotherhood must be proud of your rhetoric, which is about as bigoted, Christophobic, and intolerant as anything they produce on a daily basis. The bible tells you to beat your wife, kill your kids and so on. why dont he rip out those pages from the bible? Their is so much domestic violence by the christians in the usa, but ofcourse that not eh fault of the bible, BUT if a muslim does it well than its the Quran. CNN didnt even challenge him much, matter of fact after this talk the cnn talks to him about how he is helping kids. Also, just because muslims are killing muslims dont prove Islam is evil.

@gobuddyboy Where in the Bible does is say to beat one's wife? As for executing children, in what context is that given? Also, can you please explain the fundamental difference between OT Law and the NT Gospel? Finally, can you provide any data to back up your claim accusing Christians of all this domestic violence? It would appear that your whole argument supporting Islam is based on several fundamental fallacies. But, your response is anticipated to show otherwise.

@beta447 First off, you didn't answer the questions. Why? Because you know as soon as you did you would have rebutted yourself. Jesus executed no one, nor did he torture or commission the torture of anyone. Muhammad, on the hand, murdered, tortured, and commissioned the murder and torture of thousands, all by himself. Second, your red herring argument about American imperialism has nothing to do with biblical Christianity as led by the person of Jesus. Next time, stick to the subject.

@Derengowski I'm with you. I have never seen a group of Christians bury a woman to the hips then stone her to death then dance with glee. Or photos of Christians beheading a political captive. Or photos of Christians cutting the hands off of boys who have been merely accused of stealing a loaf of bread. Or killing their daughters because they disapproved of their friends or manner of dress.

@beta447 First, who ignored the question about Muhammad and Jesus? You did. Second, red herrings are not "connections"; they're diversions, meaning that they're also fallacies. Third, since your original premises are untrue, your overall argument is also invalid, namely that "Christianity is the most violent of all religions." Your descent into argumentum ad hominem is further proof of its invalidity. Therefore, unless you can come up with something better, this case is closed.
