  • hi, good teaching for starters - is your guitar a hondo?? i only ask because i have EXACTLY the same pattern on mine except it's black, i just hnoticeed and was like WOW !!

  • Hi, My guitar is a Gibson hummingbird bought about thirty five years ago. One of my other favourite guitars is an Eko Ranger bought about the same time.

  • Nice - good idea to break it down like that.

    Think you have Dm chord that is "wrong" - many will play a D7 there, but the "real" chord is Fmaj6

    ( I think - one of my fav. chords btw. )

    1(T)0 3 2 3(P)0 -> 1(T)0 3 2 1(I)0

  • We are both right it is Dm or Fmaj6 same notes DFA in Dm OR FAD in Fmaj6

  • thankyou and what a beautiful hummingbird:) x

  • Thanks so much for you time and helping those of us who are soooooo in need of help. You play very beautifully.

    I am going to learn this song thanks to you!

  • Hi,

    Thanks a ton for the superb lesson. Can you please clarify the G Chord in Verse Section. Is there a C note on the second string. Can't quite get it. I have finished the Intro part quite well. This is a great song and you have played it beautifully

  • @AnDy07071993:

    Got the same problem!!!sounds different when i pick the fourth and second string and the hammer on the second...doesnt it mean that you pick the fourth and THEN the second??

  • Yes, but actually you see that mistake in lots of prints of this song. Take a look around :-)

    Actually Ralph has commented on this in his recent tabbook called "Songs For Six Strings" that this was to his knowledge the first time (!) that the printers had got this "and" right.

  • Surely not its pretty obvious its 'and' otherwise the line wouldn't make sense: '...Hand held loosely at his side yesterday's paper telling yesterday's news...' doesn't take a genius to work that one out. xXx
