Raw Video: Deadly Stampede Breaks Out at Christmas Giveaway in Peru

A 60-year-old woman was trampled to death and others injured by a surging crowd at a Christmas giveaway in northern Peru. The stampede broke out as hundreds of people gathered for a free box of a traditional Christmas sweet bread. (Dec. 24)

I say educate everyone about diet and exercise. Not just TELL them what to eat, but EDUCATE them. It would be a LOT cheaper to educate than to spend billions on lab research. But where's the profit in that!?

This happened because of a poor organization. As you can see the president of the region -see his pictures in the yellow boxes- was giving this food for free. But this guy did not asked the police for help in organizing the event and that was the consequence.

Unfortunately there a lot of poors in my country and they are the ones that go to this kind of events. A grandma died to have a big 4-dollars bread for Christmas... that's awful.

It is the poorer and less educated who tend to be overweight/obese in America. Junk food is cheap, and one with brains enough not to want to die at 40 or 50 of course won't touch it, and he/she will get regular exercise too. It's mostly trash who die from obesity:)

@ahhyo2006 in USA there are poor people too, I've been in Beverly Hills and seen a lot of poor peole. They are so poor that the only thig they have is money.
