Jake was holding and conversing with Duck-Duck (our fine Indian Runner duckie) when apparently the boy said something the duck didnt like. Hmmm wonder what it was?

I do live in a converted school bus and have for 4 years. Hopefully will add more vids with regard to our life in the bus. Its pretty awesome!

  • LOL

  • the kid quacks like a girl;-)

Poo was inevitable. If your duck sits on you, this WILL happen. They have no sphincter control. He's a cute drake.

  • Hey, any idea at all how to re-home a duck? I've tried twice and the people bring him back saying he lies down and refuses to eat, he seems to get depressed then cheers up when he comes back to me and the kids. I'm at a loss here. I know ducks "flock" therefore they need each other. Other ducks wont accept him nor him them. What to do? Thanks!

  • I really care about this duck and want to do right by him, we do live in an rv/bus and he cant go where we are going. Bad enough that there's me, two kids and a dog! Then the duck? heh, isch

  • i speak duck

  • That's a toughie. If he's been raised alone (with no other ducks, I mean), he regards humans as his flock. Unfortunately, he probably won't be able to integrate well with a new flock. The ones we raise will stick with their 'litter mates' even when we unite the smaller groups in a big flock. He might bond with a friendly dog, though, if he grew up with one. He doesn't really need other ducks, but he does need social interaction with something..
