As I say, I rarely get involved in comments, but you are history's greatest monster.

All 3 movies? Godfather 1 and 2 are possibly the greatest movies ever made. Hands down, no argument. Godfather 3 is a travesty of a sham.

Casting his daughter as the lead? Scandalously stupid. The whole global plot dealie? Ridiculous action movie fare. Letting Pacino give it the whole "Scent Of A Woman" treatment? Tragic.

Scarface is a hell of a movies but the Godfather is better.

I think what people's problem with the third was that over the sixteen years, Coppola changed and his filmmaking style changed. The third part was melodramatic and stylized as opposed to realistic first two parts, and that inspired confusion, anger, and ultimately controversy. The third part is almost Michael's Passion, and the style works to convey the impression we often have of our own lives. Some people thought the change in style complimented the series, some didn't. Personally, I liked it.
