You can compare different instrument players, of course you can, I do play bass, but I can for example, compare solos for their lyricism, judicious choice of note during a solo etc.
You can compare, stop saying " it's different, don't compare "
I can say Jazz is MUCH richer than Metal, even if they are different.
You just have to think a little. And know what you talk about
