If you listen to the views of someone that doesn't know what an India Pale ale is and can't even be bothered to pour it into a glass to taste it properly, you will end up with exactly what you deserve s**t like coors or bud (the American one), try the Czech one and you will see it was only the name that they stole, coors and bud are utter dross and don't bear any resemblence to anything brewed by Brewdog

I realised bud and coors are light beers and pale ale is well, pale ale. So i kinda guess there not related. IPA definatley has a better taste than coors or bud tho, hands down
