The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - The Ebony Blade Owns [HD]

So I just got the Ebony Blade and wanted to demonstrate the awesome, plus a few people didn't believe mine had a base damage of 45 when I have little two handed skill, but I discovered why this is and it's because the blade although two-handed benefits from + % to one handed which I discovered when removing my gauntlets that have that enchantment and the damage went down to 41.

Okay so I know a lot of people have questions about this weapon and I've learned a fair bit about it so I thought I'd post some information. First of all the blade is bugged and receives bonuses from the +% to one-handed enchantment instead of the two-handed (I'm quite sure it's JUST the enchantment, not perks), also it falls off your weapons racks when you leave and re-enter your home and if you leave for too long it can disappear entirely or so I've heard. To empower the blade you must kill 10 friends and each time you kill two friends the lady will whisper you and the life absorb enchantment on the blade will increase 2 points in damage starting from 10 and reaching a maximum of 30 once you've killed the total of 10 people.

It cannot be upgraded via smithing a shame though it is quite powerful as it is, but this means if you smith you'll always be able to create a more powerful weapon since you can get weapons up to ridiculously high damage amounts and armour defense too rendering you the ability to be invincible to one-hit everything on master difficulty and be invincible, so if you decide you don't want to be godlike then this is always a weapon choice, well it will be when they fix the bug where it benefits from one-handed enchantments... It still acts as a two handed weapon and increases the two handed weapon skill, though if you are using one handers and have a bunch of +% to one handed damage like I do then this weapon is a good way to increase your two-handed weapon skill when you've maxed one-handed.

In conclusion, cool but bugged weapon, hopefully we'll see a fix in the near future so I can make a two-handed user and use this weapon full time! Also I have heard there is a mod out there which fixes the weapon, so that's always something to look into if you're a PC player. Unfortunately this doesn't help console players. I hope this answers some people's questions and if anyone has anything to add or corrections to make then I welcome them.

So this weapon gets dmg from one hand enchants? I have 100 one hand skill but it still has only 26 damage even though i have one hand enchantments on my armor? im just curious what in oblivion is wrong Q:Q

I was referring to how the ebony blade enhances when you kill "people you've deceived"(just go with followers). The absorption goes up, not the damage. By npcs, I assumed you knew what i was talking about. I've never referred to bandits as npcs.

@catbuffalo Only friendly NPC's, neutral or enemy NPC's don't do anything, this has been tested.

I'm thinking that you absorb more health the more npcs you kill, the only thing that helps damage are skills and enchantments.
