Adam Rybczynski was born in Poland, a part of Europe where national borders have shifted often and violently during the twentieth century. The Second World War changed his life and identity forever. This clip shows Displaced Persons from the Second World War near Wesel in west Germany. This clip is taken from the Imperial War Museum's new online exhibition - 'Through My Eyes: Stories of conflict, belonging and identity.'The site launched on Thursday 19th June and can be accessed on www.throughmyeyes.org.uk .   • This treatment is FAR superior to the bestial manner in which the Nazis treated the conquered Russian civilians. Twenty to thirty million dead in the former Soviet Union.
