Hi-resolution clip from Gryphon Productions 1990 Production: The Spirit of the Mask about mask traditions of the Pacific Northwest Coast indigenous peoples- the First Nations. Here Mowchaht cultural leader and hereditary Chief Andrew Callicum describes the importance of potlatch ceremonial traditions: the Sisiutl- double-headed serpent and the traditions of lifting the dancer. Traditional spiritual bathing is revealed- to cleanse the dancer and bring strength.
