Sen. Sessions spoke on the Senate floor today about Elena Kagan's decision as dean of Harvard Law School to ban military recruiters from the campus recruiting office. Sessions said that "there are concerns that her legal judgment might be infected by her very liberal political views."

  • 5:01 That's the million dollar question, rhetorical I know. It illuminates the double standard that exists on the left.

  • BRAVO! WELL SAID SENATOR SESSIONS! SHE DOESN'T NEED TO BE CONFIRMED. She's part of the Dim-O-Kraut Agenda. Anti-Gun., Anti-Military, Pro-Partial Birth Abortion and a flaming Liberal Activist. Just what we don't need anymore of.

  • ..porker Kagan is well aware of the misdeeds of Barry Soetoro aka Barack Hussein Obama; she knows he has many ss numbers & uses addresses he never lived - yet - keeps quiet.

Obama is rewarding this disgusting thing..

  • Kagan treats our enemies better then our own military. What the heck is our Country doing?

  • ummm....selfisness is not quite the word that your looking for. the term is self-interest. oh, and terrorists hate us regardless of political party. they hate us because they have very little ability to mentally process anything other than what their leaders tell them to concern themselves with. (see north korea) also, unless you have the desire to take up arms against those who would destroy that which you hold dear you dont get a vote on the topic of national defense.

  • @jessegonum2009 All of the lawyers you mentioned where in a private practice for at least 15 years. Nobody can name any experience Kagan has in a court room except for the 9 cases she has tried as Solicitor General (Maybe that is like an internship?). The woman is not qualified and she hates the military.

@ Everyone else - DADT was a bipartisan policy passed under President Clinton (wow, what was he famous for?). Like it or not, Kagan didn't say anything about it when she served under him.

  • Well truth be told, experience as a federal judge has not always been a prerequisite for the position of Supreme Court Justice. Some of the sharpest minds on the Court were not justices prior to their nominations. I.e. William Rehnquist, Byron White, and Lewis Powell.

“Second Class status????” What does Senator Sessions, A white, Anglo Saxon, American Christian know about being in a second class situation?

  • Kudos to Senator Sessions!

  • Ayn Rand can kiss my butt. Who cares what she has to say about ANYTHING? She actually said selfishness is better than being altruistic, even if it's regarding PRIVATE charity, not using gov't funds. I much prefer Milton Friedman. He wasn't stuckup or as uptight, either.

Lol! Kagan...? Kagan is the reason terrorists wanna kill us? Uh, no. Read a freaking book! The reason is b/c we're over there, bombing nonstop and getting involved in their affairs. It's called blowback, dude.

  • So it's perfectly OK for the military to discriminate against openly gay and lesbian folks and treat them like pariahs, discharging any of them found or suspected to be gay who are in the closet, which only weakens our military, but god forbid someone stands up against such a ridiculous policy! Oh my god! they've committed the ultimate sin! Please... Is the military above criticism?? I don't think so!
