  • this is not Medieval, it's Renaissance, why do people keep confusing the two periods? It's like confusing the Baroque with 20th century

  • @LaCarusiella Well, according to the period it should be late Medieval (Gothic period), as only in that time Italy was within the Renaissance!!Maybe the song doesn't sound quite from Middle Ages although still believing is from this period somehow"

  • Beautiful!! (The only thing is that this is not a song. A song is vocal music.)

  • @MLpossible Periodisation like that is pretty treacherous. It was actually very fluid. Geoffrey Chaucer, for instance, was sooner than this and his writing is still considered to be an early renaissance

  • @LaCarusiella life goes on, get over it

  • Gothis is 12th and 13th century - EARLY Middle Ages, nowhere near Renaissance.

  • @MLpossible And Hungary of Matthias Corvinus! :) Look it up in the wiki. It's enough for starters!

  • The Wars of the Roses (the entirety of which this composer lived through almost exactly) was definitely Medieval from a social and political perspective. But the music itself is somewhat influenced by Italian Renaissance trends.

  • CHECK OUR DARK AND EPIC MEDIEVAL SONG

  • @LaCarusiella The Renaissance did not reach England until the late 15th Century and lasted throughout the 16th Century into the early 17th Century. It is commonly known as the Tudor Era. The height of the English Renaissance would have been the Elizabethan Tymes from 1558-1603.

  • @fuscian Wtf? lol
