Of all the music I've played, I put the most expression on this beautiful prelude. Sorrow, longing, loneliness, these are the emotions that come to mind when I play this piece.

This prelude was played at Chopin's funeral by Liszt on the pipe organ.

  • Chopin was amazingly talented; wrote such beautiful music. Who named this "Suffocation"?

  • @granbranfan The nickname 'Suffocation'' was given by German pianist, conductor and composer Hans von Bülow in the 19th century.
