Women in Technology -Abu Dhabi Health and Fitness Club- April 29, 2009

Panel discussion focused on Women in Technology (WIT) program and how its innovative partnership approach, focused on Information Technology and business planning, has created one of the most successful womens training programs in the UAE. Panelists discussed the importance of e-literacy and the demonstrated best practices. They highlighted how international and local cooperation between the government (MEPI / US Department of State), private sector (Microsoft) and non profit sector (IIE, General Womens Union, Western Region Development Council) can address one of the regions most pressing issues increasing womens participation in the workforce and civil society building.
