Hate to break it to you, 2 years ago when they werent famous at all and played for 50people that night, they stayed over to sleep at our place, had a fun night and all. But today they have no idea who we are anymore or just dont answer
-
its tough as fuck singing loud all the time also :O

I was in the second row at the front of their set at Glastonbury, luckily enough the second time I've seen them.
They have the most amazing energy when they play, yet however big they get, they remain humble and talk to the crowd. This for me is what makes The Gaslight Anthem so incredible!

he probably just doesn't want to sing as loud as he would have to to hit the pitch's in the recorded version.

i feel like sometimes he doesn't know what dynamic to sing in when he plays acoustic.

i like the way he doesn't really know the tune in acoustic because it sounds so much more honest. Something som edowntrodden soul sings into a pint rather than something somebody sings to a large audience. this version is so powerful.
