I hope he still keeps the Hawaiin Breeze fan since nothing is wrong with it.

Cute kid lol I'm 15 and I collect antique fans. They're very well built and nice looking, so I use them on a daily basis.

Fans --> propellers --> airplanes -->I'm an Aeronautical engineer now... :-)... hope Nate will be as lucky as me to get this far... !

I have one of those little hawian breeze 7" fans too. I took some diagonal cutters and removed alot of the grilles to make it quieter and more efficient. In fact,i also have Aspergers and also one of those honeywell fans too lolz

What idiot teaches a child to touch fan blades?

I have a hawiian breeze just like that but its really dusty and has a lot of electrical crapola hanging off of it.I also wrote all over the blades with silver sharpie and stayed up most of the night cutting the grilles away for better efficiency
We've been told possibe Asperger's
(touch of autism) by a neurologist. He talks like an adult too now (he's 4) and is still obsessed with fans. We'll have to wait and see, but he's social and likes other activities too, so I'm not too concerned.

No insult intended. He had speech delays and social issues too. It was more the obsession with the spinning, which can be a sign of autism.

Hi, I am very surprised with your videos. I´m from Mexico and have a 4 years old kid. My wife and me thought our kid was the only one with this strange adiction but I am discovering is not. Have you asked the doctor about this situation?

We were worried about Autism. We had Nate tested and we were told he was fine. He does well socially and academically in school, so we figured it's just a strange hobby.

Wow! This is interesting.
I also had an obsession with electric fans from the moment I first could remember. I always nagged for my parents to buy me fans - to they're dismay and frustration.
My mom once baked me a fan cake!! And my dad used to bring me old and broken fans from everywhere. At first I took them apart but soon learnt and taught myself how to repair them. I am now able after more than 20 years to fully restore most vintage fans.

We wanted to do a "fan party" for Nate's 3rd birthday, but couldn't find any supplies!! I love that your mom baked a cake. I'm pleasantly surprised at the number of people who tell me they also loved fans from an early age. I know he's learning a lot playing with them. We figure he'll be some sort of engineer.
