Yeah, they shouldnt store it in a extremely secure faclity in german. they should just pay an african government so they can just dump it on their coast line... oh wait.

How about instead of protesting about it and costing tax payers millions of dollars, you invest money into research into more efficent power suppliers or better ways of disposing of nuclear waste?

1:02 earthquakes in Germany are not powerful enough to threaten the CASTORS, the containers are extremely strong and can take a lot of abuse, believe, there's no threat from earthquakes.

there was no danger of radioactive leak unless terrorists would attack, but wouldn't be too effective since it's only in a town, terrorists wouldn't waste their time with it.

so in reality, the protests have nothing to back them up, just narrow minded people.

We ended the last century with a reactor accident in Russia spreading radiation over much of Europe and have now started this century with a reactor accident in Japan spreading radiation over much of the Northern Pacific Ocean and Western United States. Show me a single coal and oil-based electric generating plant which has done even remotely similar damage.

Nuclear power is very green and its very safe. Everything has been engineered 3 fold for safety. I would rather have nuclear rather than 40 coal power station pumping shit into my lungs.

As long as we haven't found a way to deal with the waste-problem, and general danger of the power plants, I wouldn't dub nuclear power as "the way forward.."

I believe most people join these protests to create publicity about the waste-problem.. To make it clear that nuclear power isn't "green energy".. It is a very great risk to keep this up.. and to phunkyphantom619..: Well, if this is the way forward I DO think it's time we rethought our way of living.. -.- That is my way of realism..^^
