The Plafond Knot is named so on account of its similarities to motifs seen in Chinese temples and palaces. Also called the Lanyard Knot, the Plafond Knot is a decorative way to hold two pieces of rope together, or creating a striking rope medallion for a necklace.

  • What was the music used? Also, the knot was really awesome, going to use it in most of my paracord lanyard projects!

  • Geez, this knot completely has my number. Your instructions are great, but I can never get the dressing and tightening of it. I always end up binding some of it, effectively making it all "stuck" and forcing me to start over.

  • How the heck do the chinese come up with this?! 0.0 so confusingly gorgeous

  • Thanks for the video.

I'm new at this though and had to pause and rewind numerous times to keep up. Maybe go a little slower?
