Some 5th graders were studying refraction by setting up an experiment similar to this one. Once we filmed it, they watched it many times. Each time they viewed it, their observations became more acute and their descriptions became clearer, more articulated, and more accurate.
So, don't be fooled by the simplicity of the video, there is much to be learned if you just take a moment and think about it.
