I uploaded a clip of David Grissom some time ago and it got a lot of hit's so here's some more.

Younger viewers may find these hairstyles disturbing. In fact this hairstyle was fairly common in the 1980's. It was known as the "Mullet" , or the "Camino Headrest".

  • Interesting guitar style too. Goes well with the barnetts.

  • Yes looking back, that's quite a weird percussive style Grissom's using on this number. I guess he was trying something a little different that's all. It would have been all too easy to stray into "Marty Robbins" territory with a song like this.

  • Hi, very nice. In Sweden those hairstyles were called "ice-hockey style"

  • Yep, business at the front, "party out at the back".

  • A friend of mine did a great cover of this song. He had a deaf dog that would always lay in front of my amp when we practiced. My first audience! Bamboo Shade made me an instant Ely fan.

  • His style here is very close the explosive sound he got doing the recording of "Dallas" Live at liberty Lunch."

  • I saw Ely and Grissom about 30 years ago at parkers nightclub in seattle on aurora. I have never forgotten the amazing guitar work of Grissom!!

  • I swear...you learn something new everyday! ;)

  • The hairstyles are wack, but the music is amazing. Thanks again for the upload! Ely has aged like a fine wine. In my opinion his voice is better today.
