This is the rehearsal video for the Serenity Maidenhead scene. In my opinion, this scene is even better than Summer Glau's.
The stunt woman's name is Bridget Riley.

They didn't even use this scene in the movie. I guess this was just to figure out placements and movements, because Summer Glau did ALL of her own stunts and fight scenes in the movie.

@Outside45 - are you saying a) she doesn't have ridiculous fake breasts, b) isn't obviously wearing a push-up bra, c) doesn't wiggle a whole lot or d) doesn't stop half way through to fix her nail varnish?

@AlienCollective - yeah, the series could have been so different if Sean Maher had ducked out three episodes in, and been replaced by this guy. I mean - that could really have ended it after only, hey, one series...

Great fighter, cool scene - but it wouldn't work for River. River is a lithe, ethereal girl who was a talented dancer before they put theoretical fighting skills and a killer instinct in her head - which is why her "ballet-like" fightingstyle both makes sense and is esthetically pleasing.
Summer Glau does the best "dancer fakes fighting" I've seen, most of the time actors/dancers are pretty useless at this. :)
