Thanks I gotcha, I use a long sling set up to reduce drag and cam "walking" myself, but it's a very interesting configuration. I think I would feel awkward with two ropes on me but I see the point.

they are half ropes, double rope techniques are to clip both ropes into each piece of gear usualy when ice climbing.
