imprettu sure that he did eat a mudskipper aty one point...they are such cool fish i want one! how do you look after them?
-
Is that a bowl of water? Are you supposed to have a bowl of freshwater for them? We have a mudskipper and I'm finding it very difficult to find any good caresheets about them.

After all that!? Wow, how these girls live in the wild is beyond me. And regardless of that fact I want one!!! These guys are awesome!

@zebralover2270 I got my first one shipped to me from a pet store several states away as for at the time I couldn't find any others closert to me for 30 bucks, plus 30 more for shipping which was a huge rip-off. Later I've located them at a local pet shop that's selling them for $10.00. I highly reccomend you don't get them shipped, as the shipping process is very hard for them to survive. ):

Good thought Santi but not quite correct. I do not know much biology, but I know enough to understand the mudskipper is an example of CONVERGENT EVOLUTION. It lives an amphibian lifestyle but is far from being an amphibian. One of the most basic differences between amphibians and fish is, whereas fish live their entire lives breathing through gills, amphibians undergo METAMORPHOSIS where their gills develop into air breathing lungs. (E.g. an aquatic tadpole becoming a terrestrial frog)
