Best tune of this incredible album!!
Release date :6 June 2011.
Lyrics:
It's the same old scene
You've been stuck at the screen for a lifetime
You keep your mind sharp and clean
With a fix of caffeine for the night time

You got a page full of friends
And a world without end, DIKU?
But if push comes to shove
You could do without them if they make you

With all this poison inside
It's much too late to decide
You've got your mind made up
You've been living a lie in your white room

For all the hours that you've cried
There's a year of love they denied
So you slip through the door and fall to the floor in your black room

You're a black room boy
You're feeling so way down
You're a black room boy
Forget the losses and burn down
You're a black room boy
Fall into city lights
You're a black room boy
Nothing else to be

You kissed your mommy's hand
Wearing daddy's ring when they left you
And you buried yourself in the pain that they couldn't accept you
You're in a world of your own

Got no cellular phone
They can't track you
But the girl at the store with the sketchy rapport
She will back you

With all this poison inside
It's much too late to decide
You've got your mind made up
You've been living a lie in your white room

For all the hours that you've cried
There's a year of love they denied
So you slip through the door and fall to the floor in your black room

You're a black room boy
You're feeling so way down
You're a black room boy
Forget the losses and burn down
You're a black room boy
Fall into city lights
You're a black room boy
Nothing else to be

You're feeling so way down
Forget the losses and burn down
Fall into city lights
Nothing else to be

You're a black room boy.
P.S: I've used a trial version of a movie editing program, therefor the pop up thing of "Movavi Video". sorry about that.

  • @PurgerKaj According to their album review on TATW the song is about a socially alienated person, who's depressed about his lack of contact with the world (internet addict essentially) DIKU = (do I know you?) his descent into loneliness/depression changes him into a darker version of his older self. This song hit so close to home 4 me. 3 years ago the lyrics describe my life perfectly. I was depressed at the time and pushed a lot of my friends away, no one was there to stop my downward spiral.

  • I just did a remix of this Awesome Track :) is called Black room boy ( Deep tunnel remix)

  • @GazMysticism I know someone like this boy u describe Sad but truth :(

  • @mangneth WORD!!

  • The song could also apply to a “working boy” as in a night club stripper, hustler, escort, porn star, etc. Especially since a “black room” is generally associated with sex clubs. Also the other lyrics support this theory as well; the abandonment isssues of his parents, not being socially accepted, and dealing with depression or being in a situation that isnt ideal and is largely based on creating a fantasy, DIKU(do i know you) - alot of new and anonymous clients, but not knowing how to get out.

  • @ssj4jean ;)

  • @golpesar29 For some reason I can't post the link but there's a version of the preview here search the following: Above & Beyond "Group Therapy" Preview Podcast OUT NOW

  • @Calebus could u link to the album review please? im interested in the meanings for the other songs as well.

  • @JikOnAStick i agree. definitely sounds like nothing else is easy. although even though it sounds more like easy, it might be "easier", at least that would make more sense in that context

  • I'm almost certain he says "Nothing else is easy" instead of "Nothing else to be"

  • This was one of the best songs on the album and it's my first A&B album. Alchemy was good too
