Qatar to export gas across the globe - 9 March 09

The biggest gas field in the world is located in the sea between Qatar and Iran.

Qatar is expanding its fleet of ships to deliver liquified natural gas (LNG) around the world.

But it is difficult for Iran to develop its fields because US sanctions ban American oil companies from working there.

Al Jazeera's Nicole Johnston reports.

Arabs stealing Iran's gas? Didn't you see that map of the gas fields? Both Qatar and Iran get the gas that is in their border.

South Pars gas field was discovered by NIOC in 1990, Qatar has lots to thank Iran for.

Meh, Quatar will still charge developing countries like India international prices for oil and 4 cash upfront whilst giving luricrous credit terms to countries like Pakistan and to the USA.

I still say for developing countries, Iran is the best friend. I wish my country of India breaks away from GCC countries and looks 4 solidarity w/ Iran.
