Erik Norlander reflects on the creative accessibility of the Moog synthesizers and the heart of those synths, the Moog four pole ladder filter. This is Erik's first attempt at a segement for NEARfest. We had to ask him for a little less emphasis on the instruments and a bit more emphasis on the Bob Moog Foundation. See his "Take Two", where he nails it. Can you blame the guy for his gear geek enthusiasm????

  • Sure, everyone knows it's pronounced "Moog" but I think the more common usage of "Moog" sounds cooler. Moog sounds like the car parts company, whereas Moog sounds more futuristic Of course nobody can hear the words I have just typed, so in a way ... this post is moot. Say ... how do I pronounce "Moot" ?

  • saying moog like moeg is wack
