Sowing the Seeds for Sustainable Culture

Sustainnovator Davey Rogner gives a virtual speech for the University of Maryland's Sustainnovate 2011. Ignite UMD: Sustainnovate 2011 is a TED-Talk-esque program where inspiring members of the University of Maryland community speak about innovative solutions to the world's problems. Davey was invited to speak for the evening. He couldn't make it back for the event, so we recorded a speech from a cabin on the Whitewater River in western Ohio.

Davey is the Campaign Director for Pick Up America, the nation's first coast-to-coast roadside litter pickup. Pick Up America was founded by two UMD graduates. It's the inaugural project of their 501c3 nonprofit organization The Harvest Collective.
