@36zipsthatsabrick Wrong. FedEx made some upgrades on their dc10's cockpit. They have dc10 10's and 30's still in operation, about 70-80. There will be a handful of DC10's exiting service in the next few years along with a few A310, all 727's (replaced by 757's). Replacing old planes with newer efficient planes. I don't know where you get your info.

i work the ramp for fedex. the aircraft between n300 fe - n318 fe or a few of the 680xxfe tail numbers are still actual DC-10's. most of them, when i look in the cockpit before going topside, have "MD-10" flight yoke logos. most of the cockpits were upgraded from dc-10 to md-10 avionics & cockpit. I will ask one of our widebody pilots about the md/ dc conversion next time i have a chance....

md-11's have the wingtips...... yes the cockpits in the 10's have been upgraded to MDs... fedex still has about 9 actual DC-10's in operation.. soon to retire..
