Um.. Yes he does. He wrote pretty much all of Straight Outta Compton and Eazy-E's first album. Not to mention all of his own solo albums.

Didn't know having an annoying voice and getting Ice Cube to write all your lyrics makes you a legend.

Eazy essentially created Dre, Ice Cube, Bone Thugs, and made Gangsta Rap so popular that "white kids living in the suburbs" started to listen to it. All Suge Knight did was sign Dre, Snoop, 2Pac and others. He didn't do even a quarter of what Eazy did.

I still don't buy it. Suge Knight isn't a legend for signing Tupac and neither is Puffy. And being a legend means you at least have some kind of worldwide acclaim. The fact that both my comments talking about how Eazy-E sucks got top comment shows that people don't like him very much.

He did do shit for the group. HE CREATED IT! It was his idea for the group, and he used his money to start it up. He created Ruthless Records. He is a legend not for his skill, which is lackluster, but what he did for rap in general. He helped make gangsta rap more mainstream. He brought people such as Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Ice Cube and Dr Dre to the forefront. Without him, I don't think Bone Thugs, Ice Cube or Dre would be where they are right now, without Eazy.

He's honestly not a legend. I don't like Biggie or Tupac but I still accept that they are legends because they meant a lot to Hip Hop. Eazy-E is a nobody. He didn't do shit for the group, he didn't write his own lyrics (Ice Cube), he didn't make his own beats (Dre) and people only care about him because he died. Who even cares? I don't see people talking about Eazy-E's albums like they do with Straight Outta Compton, The Chronic or Death Certificate.

The D.O.C. wasn't part of NWA, he was signed to Ruthless Records. Also, Arabian Prince was also a member of NWA, but left before Ice Cube, after Straight outta Compton.

Well, he is a legend. Whether you like him or not, you can't take that away from him.
