Chuck Yeager's Air Combat - P47 Strafing Attack, WW2 historic mission

A replay of the WWII historic mission "P47 Strafing Attack" played on Expert difficulty. Note this replay is at double speed to make it more interesting to watch.

"You and your wingman are just readying your FW-190s for takeoff when a pair of P-47 Thunderbolts swoop across the airfield. Your wingman's FW-190 explodes. You've got to get in the air and drive them away before they can do more damage."

This mission is rated 3 stars so is not easy, but it's short and simple, and I was able to finish the whole thing within the few minutes allowed for replays. Tactics are straightforward:- take down at least one of the initial two P47s attacking you, then turn to make a head-on pass at the second pair as they approach, as fast and low as possible to minimise your exposure while outgunned.
