Pretty simple stuff really.
+ Set your PSP date to your special day. (Press Square on the main menu to view your calender. The special day is marked with a sun.)

+ Buy Exdeath in the PP shop. He's the 5th option in the character tab.

+ Buy the CPU level caps in the PP shop. Under system, should be something like CPU+10, +20, etc. Get'em all the way up to +100.

+ Buy the EXP increases under the Calender tab.

Once all that is done, take any character to his or her story mode and have them beat level 1 CPUs until a Chocobo appears after the battle. This means you have an EXP bonus. Accessing the Customization Window tells you how much of a bonus you got. (I have 5x in the video.)

+ After that, exit story mode and take whichever character you want to level up into Quick Battle. Have him fight a level 100 Exdeath at 9 Difficulty (the top option in Quick Battle set-up).

+ Once you're in battle use nothing but HP attacks (square). Exdeath moves very slow, has a terrible AI, and is easy to predict. Make good use of the pause he has before and after he teleports. The best way to fight, if you can, is to stay in the air. There, Exdeath normally only uses his teleport, leaving you relatively safe.

And that's all there is to it. Keep in mind that your chocobo bonus only lasts for this match, so try to milk it for all it's worth. Let Exdeath use his Exmode so he can regen HP.

  • For anyone wondering, this is still very doable on the English release. Exdeath's AI is increased so you'll have to be a little more careful jumping around.

And yeah, I know about the Magic Jar exploits and all that. This video was made a few days after the Japan version was released so I didn't research all the summons yet. :)

  • thx this help me very much

time to go overkill more stuffs

  • Im actually combining both strategies, having Magic Pod and this one since I don't have all the items to do 1 - 100LVL strategy, so... this sir!, is helping me a lot right now. I just level up 7 times in one match using Chocobo Wing(%50+ on EXP) item and the bonus day.

So thank you for this video.
