@imasexyborat I would assume it would need one due to the fact that the 3-D glasses look dark and the user would probably not be able to see the keys on the keyboard. Makes me wonder if Sony or Microsoft will have backlit buttons on the new controller for 3-D Gaming. Fingers Crossed!

@imasexyborat the reason thats important dude is because the nvidia glasses have a strong tint, you wanna be able to see the keys dont you?

well, if you wait a few more months, you will get better technology with much more support of movies and series, games, etc in 3D, right now there isnt much, HOWEVER. if you buy now, you help the 3D industry grow faster AND you can go with your friends and say, HEY, i got a 3d tv... Oh yeaa... ofcourse it wont be playing 3D because lets face it, there isnt much to play right now lol.
so up to you.

uhm what do you guys say.... is it smart to buy a 3D monitor now or is it better to wait a few more months or years?

LCD shutters are nothing new, but converting games from 2D to 3D in real-time is very, very new and is only possible due to fast chips and fast displays.
