  • You might of purchased other brands of fans and got a bad result, but the figures quoted in the clip are real & actual

This fan is different from most of the fans on the American market, The design of the cowling is better & combined with the brilliant motor this unit works.

In Australia we install these on school portable classrooms, & they work.

  • With all the news recently about sunspots and solar flares I was wondering if these pose any risk to solar power systems?

  • Hi,

The solar panels that drive a solar power system can only give off a finite amount of electricity dependent on the number of photons hitting the emitting material. If the emitting material get 100% more hits, it will not put out 100% more electricity. It's sort of self limiting & your inverter would control it anyway.By the time the emitting material was being overloaded, human life would be at risk.

Of all things that one should be worried about, this is not one of them.

    Keep Well

  • Think about it. 15 or 20 watts to power a motor? What can you really expect? As a building scientist, we purchased several solar fans, mounted them and checked the flow with a calibrated Dwyer draft hood. Best case scenario, noon under an Arizona sun was 310CFM. A far cry from the "up to 1200CFM" advertisted. Under powered, unreliable (motors have bushings not bearings), and in my opinion, a total wasted of money and effort.

  • Hi,

How much cold are we talking about? What is the temp. difference between roof space & outside? The Eco vent can have a switch wired to disable it manually or automatically when the temp outside falls below the roof space temp. Or you can get a temp. operated hydraulic damper that closes when the outside temp gets lower.

I could go on forever without knowing the installation circumstances.

I hope these few points give you an idea of what can be achieved.

    Keep Well,

    Ray King

  • Is there a way to plug the vent for the winter time to stop the cold from coming in?

  • thanks a million
