www.democracynow.org - Mitt Romney won the New Hampshire Republican presidential primary with almost 40 percent of the vote, giving the former Massachusetts governor a sweep of the first two critical tests in the GOP nominating contest. He used his victory speech to alternatively attack his potential rival, President Obama, and outline his plans if elected, saying voters must choose "between two very different destinies." Meanwhile, Texas Rep. Ron Paul finished a strong second with 23 percent of the vote, and told his supporters, "but we are nibbling at [Romney's] heels." Despite campaigning almost exclusively in New Hampshire, former Utah governor Jon Huntsman secured just 17 percent of the vote, but argued that "third place is a ticket to ride" and vowed to continue his campaign in New Hampshire. Democracy Now! plays excerpts from last night's speeches by the top three Republican contenders.

  • I fucking WISH Obama wanted to turn the US into a socialist European state... not even close Romney. Not even fucking close.

  • As an American person, I would love to trade economies and healthcare systems with France, Germany, or even Italy at this point.

    Sincerely, An American Person.

  • very scary comment at 3:50

  • "greatest nation in the history of the earth" - Nope, get real Romney. You sound like an idiot

  • Mitt Romney: I will insist on a military so powerful I will take over the world!

  • RON PAUL 2012

  • @Soldier957 read all of my comments. I have already done that.

  • @DecentralizedByGuilt It sounds like you write them both off as non credible. I am just disagreeing, at least when it comes to Paul. He's the only candidate who does not change his mind or beliefs, and I haven't heard of a lie he has told ever during his running. Tell me what I've missed if you don't find this to be true.

  • @gobuddyboy lol stupid american hero worship at its best. counting a whole country's future on one single person is what really screwing the society. fuck ron paul.

  • Disclaimer... I wouldn't vote for any politician from the corporate party whichever wing they represent. What is wrong with Ron Paul? Not his policies, as they are largely ignored by the corporate party he represents. What is wrong with Paul is his encouragement of a rather neo-facist reactionary strain in politics as evidenced in some of the comments seen here. Get the money, and corporations, out of politics and actually practicing real democracy is the solution.

  • Romney will lead America to a suicide.

    I am not American.

  • @gobuddyboy No that's when the real screwing begins..get a clue.
