  • Hey man i did shoulders and arms yesterday for the first time and i got really frustrated because like a lot of athletes my right arm is a lottttt stronger then my left arm. Mostly all of the excercises require using both arms at the same time... what do i do if i feel that my left arm shakes and loses form long before my right arm? do i boost up the weights on the right arm? that's the only thing i can think of, and yet is it ok for one arm to be stronger than the other? thanks!

  • @EverythingRS - Absolutely NEVER increase the weight for one arm over the other...that will just continue the vicious cycle of one arm getting EVEN stronger than the other. If anything, you should decrease your weight so that both arms can complete the required rep range. For example, if you are aiming for 10 reps with 20lbs, right arm finishes but left arm fails out at 7 or 8 reps, then drop to 15 pounds and do 10 reps with good form. You want to balance them out so that they become equal

  • @EverythingRS - Usually one side of the body may be dominant over the other in athletes not only due to muscular strength/power but also because of neural adaptations AKA, your brain is better at coordinating and essentially "telling" your muscles to be more efficient on one side of your body over the other. Unfortunately this may lead to injury down the road due to muscle imbalance

  • Can you please clarify about the mass gaining thing?

I mean, I know I won't look like Arnold after this but can I at least expect to have as much muscle as the guys behind Tony?

  • @h2dude69 - Keep in mind that P90X is actually an overall fitness program, it is not really designed to gain mass, although you WILL get a bit of mass, it is all dependent on your training style, genetics, diet, etc. Steve Edwards has an article on gaining mass with P90X, just google "P90X Newsletter # 83"

  • can you please upload the workout video?

  • @MrMicropimpin - What do you mean upload the workout? I am not pirating the workout for you if that's what you mean

  • I just finished this one and it was pretty awesome. I hate the Cohen curls but the rest is awesome. Im just going for strength but I'm not sure if there's a certain amount of reps for that. I do about 10-15

  • I love this workout. Im a 47 yr female(old hag) and have noticed alot more definition in my arms. I love it!

  • @trobbinsfitness

    Thanks!!

For now I gotta worry about losing about 15 pounds of fat before I have to worry about Muscle gain. I hope I not being too optimistic by aiming to look like one of guys in the success stories.
