A medical nurse is suing the Mount Sinai medical Center hospital in New York City for violating her conscience clause protection rights..She was forced to abort a baby by the staff supervisors even though she is a catholic who refuses to participate because of her pro-life religious convictions Gerard Paul "The Prolife Guy" http://www.youtube.com/theprolifeguy http://twitter.com/theprolifeguy N.Y.C. Wait wait wait... you're reading an article from a most likely biased pro-life reporter? You just lost all credibility, although you didn't have much to begin with... seeing as you're a man and can never get pregnant or have an abortion in the first place.

@PALOMITA694 She probably does have a case, as most surgery departments have nurses that are "on call." However, I personally feel that the mother's health should always come first. Nurses that work in delivery rooms must also see alot of deceased pre-term babies. It is disturbing, yet a part of life.

I know as a fact that the same hospital, Mount Sinai (NYC) is known for organ transplants. Since they do medical abortions, a doctor may determine whether a pregnancy may cause worsening health for the mother, not the nurse. However, one should not work there at all if they have a problem with any procedures. Of course, the jury will consider all areas, not Pro-Life Guy (Jerk).

Early abortion that is, not late. Late abortions should only, ONLY be avaiable for SEVERE medical reasons.

You don't have to perform an abortion. It's the law. I don't think people should be forced to perform abortions, but pharmacists and BC? BC STOPS unplanned pregnancy. And yet many anti-abortion oppose access to family planning services.
And at any rate, I myself am a psychiatric nurse practitioner so I'd never have to face doing an abortion operation. After just giving birth to my son, I don't know if I could if I was involved in that nursing. But still, I support access to abortion.
