u know what is sad about this, i had to learn about this event on that tv show wife swap and not in school during black history month. when i heard this story i was so amazed and looked it up online. it was really interesting and clever.

This is so interesting! I love that they are sharing the story, but its all flash, where's the substance of why he packed himself in a box in the first place? Where is the comment on the horrors of slavery?

Tip: Henry Brown swooned when he first got out of the box: he'd been cooped up in there for quite a while and spent a good deal of the journey upside down! He also sang a psalm he'd picked out for the moment he gained his freedom.
