@alexisbabyjesussando i think that the main message is that it happen to regular people who went about their business day in and day out. they were targeted even if they didn't associate themselves with Judaism. plus it is important to remember that not only Jews died in this horror - Gypsies, gays, "just because i don't like you", Catholics in some countries suffered it too. nobody is immuned to it.
