No. Oil prices are set by something called "the market" OPEC are basically all pumping at their maximum possible production. You idiot.

The tag line is very misleading. We are not running out of oil. We have used about half. The problem is the cost and energy required to get the rest out get higher and higher now. You cannot increase production, that will stay flat and then go down (this is Hubbard's peak). Comsumption may have dipped a little in the recession, but it is sure to go up due to increased demand in developing countries. Producing countries are also using more and more of their own oil and so have less to export.

@raydesut I don't think it's misleading at all; there is a finite amount of oil, since we have used about half, duh, then it's running out. Even more to the point, the AVAILABLE oil is really running out fast; in fact, all the cheap easy to get oil is gone...cheers.
