بالم बालम bālam (from Sanskrit वल्लभ = desired / beloved) = beloved, lover, sweetheart; husband.
baalam or balamaa is the object of all your amour. A search reveals baalam is the Urdu derivative of the Sanskrit word valamba. Of course when you call out to the elusive lover you add the terminal aa.

The real name of this song is Naina, as it appears on Ali Azmat's record Klashinfolk
rahat's voice is simply perfect for this song...btw i was surprised how good ali azmat is at this kind of classical music :O
