Shomberg Galop is the name of the tune that the band is playing. You can get it from Spare Parts web page on the page called "The Civil War Ballroom Band Book" (look about halfway down, as the dance name "Durang's Triplet Galop Quadrille")

me, too!!

@tjthetkdchamp I think it's called Schomberg Galop and is danced in the movie 'The Europeans'. No idea where to get it from, though, sorry!

I love this Quadrille so much, just did this last night in Cape May and have had the song stuck in my head since. Found myself taking the promenade position at a gas station :D
Re: the comment about Victorian dress, it is about the aspect of fun involved in restoring Victorian Social dancing to our modern culture that matters most. Period dress is nice but not everyone can afford a costume or make one. They did dress up and more importantly, they took the time to attend and learn. Kudos!!!!!!!!

i would love to go to a ball like that.

apparently some people missed the 'Victorian' part. Look that that ridiculously short dress that girl has on!

can you please please please let me know what song it is theyre playing?! and where i can get it?!
In this case, "Victorian" refers to the era of dances presented, not a strict definition of clothing. We of course are encouraged to wear any vintage attire we've got, but no one is turned away for lack of vintage dress. The organizers are inclined to be inclusive rather than exclusive. The emphasis is on the dancing.
