This is a fantastic reminder lesson from ATM181 that will allow you to open up your hands in a way that you haven't been able to in a long time! The re-organization of your hand/wrist/elbow/shoulder/ribs will aid in the incresded efficiency and mobility of your body and assist in freeing up pain and difficulty.

  • i have one question: in the second part of this exercise when you are sitting cross-legged and extending arms out horizontally forwards and backwards.

does this exercise have to be done sitting down. can i do this exercise while standing?

    thanks for your response

  • @rainysuze you can absolutely do this in standing!!! Great question! One thing I keep in mind is to try and change up the convention (body position) to constantly challenge yourself. First you need to be safe...then move well...then make the convention more sophisticated!!! Good luck! lemme know what happens!

  • I also have a question: how can I let my body press down INTO the floor? you mean if I lie down in a swamp, I will sink INTO the floor? or if I had superpowers, I will be strong enough to press INTO the floor? and what will happen with my spirit? Will my spirit stay above the floor, once my BODY presses into the floor? hm ... so difficult wording ... ... or did you mean I should press AGAINST the floor? with my whole self er whole body? how to do that? where to flex? ... hm ... ;-)

  • thank you so much - this is an excellent exercise, just what i was looking for since i have pain in my wrists and i KNOW i need to be stretching from the core. it is already helping me and will become part of my stretching routine.
