"TWO & THREE" by Bas Andriessen/NIMP

On the 19th of november 1998 Bas Andriessen invited a few musicians with a very own sound and individual mentality to come and play together, because he "heard" a certain kind of music in his head with this new combination of players. The startingpoint was total improvisation, but to give the process some support BA brought some notes with him, being nothing more then melodies that could function as handholds. In this track the musicians improvise around the melodies "Two" and "Three".
A rough and overwhelming sound was intended. Violent. Raw. But pure.
Musicians are Bo van de Graaf sax, Fred van Duijnhoven en Thomas Calis drums, Volkert Cannegieter bassguitar, Frans Mathijssen keyboard and Bas Andriessen guitar.
