I liked TNG. I also liked Voyager, DS9, and Enterprise. Never got to watch TOS, but I'm sure I would've loved it. I don't get it why people are hating on other Star Trek series. If you really liked Star Trek, then it wouldn't have mattered which series you'd be watching. They're all great.

To me there is someting about the sound of the horns in this intro that makes this majestic.

They're french horns. They use them in musical scores for movies as themes for the hero/s.

It lacks a kick I think. It also never really peaks. I think Voyager has the best intro, personally.

Imagine I father set another series on Empok Nor (DS9's sister station) and called it Deep Space 10! I really hope they make a new series soon but I am loving everything Abrams is doing with the franchise.

My favorite thing about DS9 was that it is the most dramatic of all the series. That and it didn't have an annoying cat thing for a chef or a bitch of a teenager that saved the day every 5 minutes.

Does anyone here play instruments? Do you know what types of horns is in the theme. I wanna say trombones and maybe french horns.
