More Giant Spiny Stick Insect

Once more my Eurycantha Calcarata, better known as Giant Spiny Stick Insects. This time they're in the vivarium feasting on fresh ivy from the garden. Please note this is the stuff that grows up walls and trees and NOT poison ivy. I cannot be held responsible if you go picking poison ivy.

I find them such incredibly beautiful creatures. Video doesn't really do them justice. The structure of their limbs is visibly incredibly strong. You can see how H.R. Geiger got some of his inspiration for the Alien from insects.
