Richard Dolan is a history scholar. Several posters have commented that he uses the work of others. Of course he does! A history scholar bases his/her thesis by working from periodicals, authentic records, the works of other scholars, intellectuals and statements from those involved in the chosen area of study. Dolan fully supports his concepts/thesis by using the tools neccessary to do so. I'm grateful to him for his contribution to study of ufos and covert operations.

Hoagland is an easily discredited kook; look up Bad Astronomy for several in-depth dissections of his wild and poorly-evidenced claimed, which seem to be based almost entirely on bogus photo 'enhancement' and wishful thinking.

Dolan on the other hand seems to be a very professional and thoughtful researcher and I enjoy his lectures.

Shame that he had to share a platform with Hoagland who is a profound discredit to Ufology, and has as wide detachment from reality as anyone in the field. Richard is a nice person who doesn't wish to say anything unkind about others, but the damage a figure like Hoagland does to the field is huge given the desperate, speculative nonsense upon which his theories are based.

Richard Dolan is one of the most balanced and articulate researchers in this field. I wish there were more like him. He lets the data speak for itself.
