Amon Amarth really needs to produce a 20 minute epic or something...

@TheDuke4ever Other than lyrical theme, Bathory and Amon Amarth are in no way similar. Bathory was a major pioneer in black metal and later coined viking metal. Amon Amarth plays melodic death metal. There is a very wide gap in the sound of both bands. In Flames, Dark Tranquility, and At The Gates pioneered the genre that Amon Amarth plays. Lyrics do not make a genre. For example, i once listened to a viking metal band that used celtic lyrical themes.

this song is so epic... it makes me puke epicness out of my fist

True fucking Metal! EPIC!

@TheDuke4ever which is why Dublin was founded by vikings? I kid, I kid. The Irish definitely never give up, which is why the Republic of Ireland exists today. With that said, I prefer Amon Amarth because they are overall heavier and don't require synths.

The best viking metal band is BATHORY who started this music, yes they where feared warriors but when came here to ireland they met warriors who could fight as good as them and respected them
-
dude, they are no viking metal band...
-
they are one the greatest of all time hail the old gods!

Jag kommer att gå till Valhall om den dödar mig. ( I will reach Valhalla, even if it kills me.) Redundant, considering the fact I must die valiantly in battle to reach it.

My Viking blood sings to this song. How I wish to have sailed the seas and been able to stand aside my brothers in battle! All hail the most feared of warriors! The Vikings!
"Many friends died on the way Only few of us survive But I would gladly take their place in Oden's hall up high!"
Amazing!! Hail Amon Amarth!
