SDSU has been a model of mismanagement even before the budget crisis. Mr Weber's "shared vision" concept has been reduced to accepting foreign students over domestic students looking for an education. A 33% hike in fees and forced furloughs for teachers isn't going to fix this mess. This semester I dropped a class with 1 instructor to 400 students. As I write this a $11M "Alumni Center" is being built with a 8K sq ft ballroom. Really, Steve? What a terrible time to be an Aztec.
YouTube University classes: Crazy whatever budget video WTF who cares. Welcome to YouTube/edu! Maybe there's some dumb video that's, like, educational or something...
Wait a minute. If Freshmen students are being given priority and you're limiting the number of enrollment by next year, then why not concentrate your priority and provisions for students who are already in the SDSU system regardless of their college level? You've already demanded furlough days for many of our instructors and cut back on the number of SDSU faculty, how many more cuts besides state budget are we expecting by next year?
There's one problem that could've been solved right there, but instead they've decided to turn it into a snowball effect.
