Winchester, KY Police Illegally Detain Motorists on Mt. Pkwy....For Fun! 8/03/10

Returning home from the Mt. Pkwy. on Aug. 3 about 8 pm we encountered two Winchester Police cars that performed a u-turn into our lane right in front of us. They proceeded, one on each shoulder for a minute until there was a gap in traffic. Then, they pulled out in front of traffic in both lanes and turned on their lights. They proceeded to slow down until they hovered between 3 and 7 mph. This continued for apparently no reason all the way until the end of the Mt. Pkwy. When we reached the end of the parkway the two officers did another u-turn on a dirt path to head the other direction. They paused before entering the highway, window to window, to laugh and congratulate each other on the 'pace car' game they played on the 'civilians' for over 30 miles. This is highly illegal and I have called and can't seem to get the names of the officers or a reason for this 'game' from the Winchester police department.

I recorded it at twice the speed for brevity and only captured 17 minutes of this roadblock that went on for about 50 minutes.

Jesus! What do you do? Drive around and try to find videos to make shit up about?! For fuck's sake, just stop worrying about it! You have no idea why the Police had to do this, do you? I assure you, that driving down the Mt parkway at 5 mph is NOT what those 2 Officers wanted to do with their night. In fact, that is a total shit assignment for cops. Stop preaching corruption and start obeying laws. Youre run-ins with KY law enforcement officials will be much more pleasant, Im sure.

@ofcjduty Actually investigations show that this was in preparation for illegal alien roundups. This was illegal and so will be the future roadblocks in search of illegals. It's called the Constitution, I read it every week, cops should start reading it, you to begin with.

I'm a journalist specializing in crime and courts. I report on it whether it's a civilian or a cop or a politician or judge. Your attitude at my outing your 'brothers' is the reason my work is needed. Cops can be crooks.

@unclemonkeystudios As long as it's the law, the cops are not at fault for enforcing it. It has to be declared unconstitutional until the roadblocks are illegal.

And it's called a "traffic break" or rolling roadblock. Makes a gap in traffic to clear the way for pursuits, traffic redirection, stop sticks, etc. and certainly isn't illegal.

@OfficerNelson No traffic stop, redirection, stop sticks or anything else was ever done during this time. The officers rolled down windows, laughed and made gestures the entire time. At the end, they high-fived each other. I called and asked several agencies to explain what happened. Nobody would release the names or if any event was scheduled. This considered, yes, this was illegal.

Well from an past eperiences with them myself ill be the first to tell you the whole police department is corrupt,,this has been goin on now for 20 that i know of and its time to stop,,,like ppl say that has lived there its pretty much just marshall law with them and the most corrupt of all one that has terrozised ppl ther for yrs CRAYCRAFT is CHiEF now so the dirtiest cop most ppl has saw around here is leading the brigade,,federel government needs to do somethn this has to stop!!!
