AN ASL SURPRIZE IN BRADENTON

I caught an ASL by surprize in action dumping residental carts in Bradenton! & I do mean by SURPRIZE!!! After 2 months by examining that the Bradenton District was almost an all RL fleet including the CCC/ Loadmaster RLs with carttippers & kickbars for commerical dumpsters & a few FLs as well, that ASL from a distance was like seeing a ghost from hell lol!! I've seen a few Evo Lodal ASLs but didn't know that they were at this district!!

Btw, this ASL is a brand new Wayne Curbtender body on a CCC LET2 chassis!! I believe this truck has a Cummins Diesel engine & an Allision MD356OP automatic transmission driving back to Dana 40,000 pound rear tandem axles sitting on either Hendrickson or Ridewell suspension like most CCC specs!! This truck is freakin beautiful!!! This beast also has tinted windows!!!!

I did talk to the driver after my post!! He told me that Bradenton has 4 of these trucks brand new!! They also have a few Evo Lodal ASLs in use!! Unfortunately, this district is trying to get rid of RL service for residental routes! Bummer!!! Which means that they probably gonna get rid of the CCC IRL like from my other post!! I have recently seen a CCC/Leach2R2 a few months ago!! I have a feeling it's gone!! But the District does have a few CCC/Loadmasters that are probably 2 or 3 years old!! I have a feeling they might keep some of those & continue them for commerical use like the one in my previous post!! Because they have carttippers on them, I think they might be used for backup just in case one of the ASLs break down!!! Bradenton's chassis fleet are mostly all Crane Carriers, including the front loaders they have!! Even these nice ones with the Curbtenders!!!!

Overall, their ASLs are good trucks!! But I'm still conservative lol!!! I prefer rear loaders better cause with extra packing force they have over bulky objects & carttiper options, I like the idea of residental trash & bulk collected in one pass!!! But I guess ASLs serve their purpose too!!!

Automated Side Load Trash Truck!

The trash is collected with robotic arm & dumps trash from can into front part of truck body before it's crushed!! They're very common on the Pacific West Coast! Collection is 1 man process!

I STILL PREFER REARLOAD TRASH TRUCKS!!!! I'M OLD SCHOOL!!!!

I just now looked it up on Wikipedia! CCC was bought out by Glenview's Illinois Tool Works in 2008 That's why CCC still exists today!
